Miles Morales is a fictional superhero appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli and made his first appearance in “Ultimate Fallout” #4 in August 2011.

Miles Morales is from an alternate universe called the Ultimate Universe, which exists parallel to the main Marvel Universe. In this universe, Peter Parker, the original Spider-Man, dies, and Miles takes up the mantle of Spider-Man. He gains his superhuman abilities after being bitten by a genetically-altered spider, similar to Peter Parker’s origin story.

Miles Morales is notable for being one of the few prominent Afro-Latino characters in mainstream superhero comics. He is of African American and Puerto Rican descent and brings diversity to the Spider-Man mythos. He has been praised for his relatable character development and his unique perspective as a young hero navigating his dual identity.

Since his introduction, Miles Morales has become a popular character in the Marvel Universe. He has appeared in various comic book series, including his own ongoing series titled “Miles Morales: Spider-Man.” He has also appeared in animated television shows, video games, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

In the MCU, Miles Morales has not yet made his debut as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021. However, he was referenced in the animated film “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” (2018), where he served as the main protagonist. It is expected that he will be introduced in live-action in the future, following the success and positive reception of the character.

Miles Morales possesses similar powers to Peter Parker’s Spider-Man, including superhuman strength, agility, and the ability to stick to walls. He also has a unique power called the “Venom Blast,” which allows him to generate and discharge bio-electricity. Additionally, he utilizes his intelligence and resourcefulness to fight crime and protect his city.
